Dear Families,
I am pleased to have your child in my class this year. In order to guarantee your child and all the students in my classroom the excellent educational climate they deserve, I am using a discipline plan that emphasizes teamwork and cooperation. A good learning experience is built on cooperative effort between parent, child, and teacher. My expectations for conduct and academic growth are high. With your participation in and out of the classroom we can look forward to a productive, creative, and fun year together!
In the past I have had many parents and family members volunteer their time in the classroom. I encourage this because it provides opportunity for more children to receive one-to-one attention. Parents have found that they learn many ways to help their children at home as a result of their classroom observations. Please let me know if you are interested in volunteering.
I am excited about developing a real partnership with families. I hope we can work together to make this a year of significant growth and discovery for your child. I look forward to seeing you at Open House on Monday, September 19 at 6:30 Many of your questions regarding discipline, curriculum, and classroom procedures will be discussed at that time.
Sincerely,
Nancy Papi
